Product details
The Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F Optical Dust Sensor is a compact infrared-based sensor designed to detect airborne dust and fine particles. It uses an infrared emitting diode (IR LED) and a photodetector to measure light reflected by particles passing through the sensing area. It provides an analog voltage output that can be processed by microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32 (with suitable input scaling), and other embedded systems.
This sensor is suitable for air-quality monitoring prototypes, dust detection systems, air purifiers, air conditioners, and educational electronics projects. It can also help distinguish smoke from ordinary house dust by analysing the output pulse pattern.
